LEAK DETECTION PROCESS

Each leak test is performed electronically.
An underwater microphone will be used, along with a visual inspection, and dye, if necessary.
If it is determined that a line is broken under the deck, your lines will be pressurized,
and a deck phone will be used to locate the break.
This is all included in our leak detection price.

The repair of minor leaks is included in the price of the leak detection.

A minor leak is usually located in the pool  shell and can be repaired using underwater
epoxies, hydraulic cement, or butyl tape.
It is not necessary to drain the pool to perform this type of repair.

Equipment leaks will be identified but will not be repaired.

If the cause of your leak is due to something major, such as a broken line under the deck,

we will submit a proposal for the repair cost.
This amount is in addition to the cost for the leak detection.

All leak tests are warranted for 45 days from the last service call.
Major repairs are warranted for one year from completion.

It is important for the pool/spa owner to monitor the water level for 48 hours after any repair.

If patched, the pool should sit still for 12 hours, no swimming, and the pump should be off.
If the water level is below normal, the pool or spa should be filled to normal level,
then monitored over a period of 48 hours.   If you find that you are still losing water,
our office should be contacted immediately.

NOTE: We will not ask our technicians to enter a contaminated (green pool), and the pool water needs

to be at normal operating levels in order to perform a full leak test.
